Miriam Cates 'threats from violent extremists are putting too much pressure on MP's' as she calls for Speaker to resign

Conservative MP for Peniston and Stocksbridge Miriam Cates has slammed the "frightening" protests outside the House of Commons.

This comes as thousands of Pro-Palestine protesters gathered outside of the Houses of Parliament yesterday evening as MPs prepare to vote on the ceasefire amendment.

Chants of "ceasefire now" and "free Palestine" could be heard while people waved black, white, green and red flags and held up posters.
